How we grade condition

We grade to TCGplayer's card condition standards, the same scale used across the hobby. Foils are graded by the same rules as non-foils.

NM

Near Mint

Minimal wear from shuffling, play or handling. Nearly unmarked surface, crisp corners and clean edges. May have slight edge wear or a couple of minor scratches, but looks nearly unplayed.

LP

Lightly Played

Minor edge wear, scuffs or scratches. Flaws can be noticeable, but none are severe and there are not many of them. Nothing wrong with the structure of the card.

MP

Moderately Played

Moderate edge wear, surface wear, scratching or scuffing, or a bend with a crease, alone or in combination. The card is still structurally sound.

HP

Heavily Played

A major amount of wear: several moderate flaws plus creasing, whitening and other faults. Can still be authenticated and is not structurally damaged.

DMG

Damaged

Wear beyond the other grades: major border wear or scuffing, bends, tears, splitting, or anything that affects the card's structure, playability or authentication. Crimps, significant miscuts and alterations such as signatures, stamps or ink are also Damaged.

GRD

Graded

Sealed in a slab by a grading company. The company and grade are in the listing title.

Not as listed? We fix it. Send photos within 7 days of delivery and we refund or replace the card.
